Good Guys Membership – Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Good Guys Membership?
The Good Guys Membership is a monthly service membership designed to lower your cost of car ownership. Members get priority scheduling, discounted labor and parts, and access to annual perks like free diagnostics, an annual maintenance bundle, and roadside reimbursement. It’s not a warranty or insurance plan — it’s a way to save money when you need service.
How much does the membership cost?
The membership is $49 per month, with no enrollment fee. It renews monthly and you can cancel anytime.
What vehicles are covered?
Your membership covers up to four (4) vehicles per household, including vehicles owned or primarily used by you, your spouse/domestic partner, and dependent children living at home up to age 25.
Do repairs come with the membership?
No. Repairs, parts, fluids, and shop supplies are not included. The membership gives you discounted pricing and special member benefits — you only pay for the actual work needed.
When do the extra benefits start?
Premium benefits unlock after three consecutive months of active membership. This includes free diagnostics, the annual maintenance bonus, and roadside reimbursement. The waiting period applies per household, not per vehicle, to prevent abuse.
What free diagnostics are included?
You get two complimentary diagnostics per membership year, each up to one hour. These help identify issues, but do not include tear-downs or disassembly.
What is the annual maintenance bonus?
Once per membership year, for one designated vehicle, you’ll receive:
- Windshield wipers
- Engine air filter
- Cabin air filter
(Standard parts included.)
Are oil changes included in the membership?
Yes. After three consecutive months of active membership, members are eligible for two complimentary full synthetic oil changes per membership year for one designated vehicle. Oil changes must be at least four months apart and are subject to standard oil capacity limits. Additional oil, specialty filters, or non-standard specifications may result in an additional charge.
What does roadside reimbursement cover?
Members can receive one reimbursement per year up to $100 for qualifying emergency services such as towing, jump starts, or lockouts. Reimbursement is provided as a service credit toward your next Good Guys Auto Care service (no cash payouts).
What is the price match guarantee?
If a licensed and insured local shop provides the same service for less under apples-to-apples conditions (same scope of work, comparable parts, no promotions), we’ll credit you the difference toward your next service.
Do members get special coupons or free services?
Yes. From time to time, Good Guys may offer exclusive digital coupons, discounts, or complimentary add-on services to members as loyalty rewards or re-engagement offers. These offers are limited-time, may require a qualifying service purchase, and are subject to availability and program terms.
Can I cancel anytime? Will I get a refund?
You can cancel anytime via email. Your membership remains active through the end of your current billing period. Membership fees are non-refundable and we do not issue partial refunds for unused time.
Is this a contract or long-term commitment?
No long-term contract. The membership is month-to-month and renews automatically until you cancel.
Can I sign up online?
Yes. You can enroll online and accept the terms electronically using a click-to-agree checkbox, just like other subscription services.
